The Rochester Athletic Club has completed a $1 million expansion of its Henrietta site, upgrading the facility and equipment and adding an upscale personal training studio.

The revamped club now includes a school where men and women personal trainers and therapists may obtain professional certification from the National Federation of Professional Trainers.

As part of a broad expansion, the Rochester and Buffalo athletic clubs expect to add 100 to 150 employees over the next 18 months to two years.

Both clubs also announced the appointment of Robert Bovee, the co-national director of the National Federation of Professional Trainers, to be regional director of education and certification and consultant to professional personal trainers and fitness therapists.
