Xerox closes on its acquisition of ACS
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. is now ACS, A Xerox Company.
Xerox Corp. announced today it had closed on its takeover of the Dallas-based business process outsourcing company.
Shareholders of both Xerox and ACS on Friday approved the $6.4 billion purchase. With the move, Xerox - one of the Rochester area’s largest employers - now has a much bigger footprint in that outsourcing industry.
ACS CEO Lynn Blodgett will continue to run the operation as an executive vice president in the Xerox operation. He will report directly to Xerox CEO Ursula Burns.
