Parents: Stephanie and William. Tall task: 7-foot senior outside hitter averaged 10.3 kills as Blue Devils repeated as sectional and regional champions. Academics: 93 avg. Up next: Full volleyball scholarship to Division I power UCLA. Plans to study either marine biology or biology.

Parents: Amy and Kristopher. Table-setter: Excellent court vision, his 566 assists sparked the Division I co-champion Royal Comets (18-3). Stats: Has 1,348 assists in three-year career. Academics: 96 avg. Honors: Two-time all-tournament team pick at the Junior Olympics.
Parents: Leticia Ruiz and Miguel Cartagena. Powerful: Recorded 239 kills, with a season-high of 24, and had a .412 hitting percentage for R-H (18-3). Big-time: 19 kills sparked R-H to five-set win over McQuaid Academics: 2.2 GPA. Up next: Wants to study athletic training.
Parents: Eric and Leigh. Secret weapon: Team high 2.5 blocks/game. Clutch: Won five straight service points in third set against McQuaid to clinch the Patriots’ fourth straight Class A championship. Academics: B-plus avg. Up next: Likes Pfeiffer, St. Francis, Nazareth and River College.
Parents: Chris/Neal. Four-peat: Tournament MVP had 13 kills in finals as Patriots (20-2) won fourth straight “A” title. Dominant: 22 kills led Penfield to school’s first regional title since 1994. Academics: 94 avg. Other sports: Tennis. Up next: Considering several colleges to study engineering.
Parents: Cheryl/Nick. Rising talent: 6-foot-6 all-around threat had 16 kills in regional championship win. Drawing interest from Division I powers Penn State, Pepperdine, UCLA and Stanford. Game-changer: Excellent passer averaged 10 kills; dangerous and consistent jump-server. Academics: 90 avg.
Parents: Deb and Jim. Late-bloomer: Second-year player developed into a force as McQuaid’s (19-3) No. 1 solo blocker (15 per match). Academics: 98 avg. Other sports: Also plays table tennis. Up next: Considering Yale, Columbia, Johns Hopkins and the University of Rochester.
Parent: Denise Dillman. Visionary: Ran Victor’s (20-0) potent offense, with 418 assists, an average of 28 per match. Back-to-back: Steady hand led Blue Devils to second straight “B” sectional and regional titles; 37 assists fueled four-set regional championship win over Hamburg-VI. Academics: 88 avg.
Parents: Larry and Lisa. Big bopper: First-team All-County pick had 308 kills, including 27 against McQuaid and Webster. Streak-snapper: His 15 kills sparked the Royal Comets (18-3) to a four-set win over Penfield, handing the Patriots’ their first loss to a Section V squad since 2006. Academics: 97 avg.
Parents: Celeste/Ralph. Passing fancy: First-team All-County pick and third-year varsity player had 481 assists, including season-high 44 in five-set win over Fairport. Big-time: Team captain handed out 38 assists to propel Eagles (15-5) into “A” semifinals. Academics: 90 avg. Other sports: Baseball.
Parents: Scott and Kathy. Prime-time: Career-high 31 kills in regional finals; 4.9 kills/game. Academics: B. Other sports: AGR indoor track and field (high jump). Up next: Verbally committed to play volleyball and study sports administration at Ball State.
Roots: 1993 R-H grad played volleyball and tennis. Currently teaches 11th grade U.S. history. Success: Monore County Class “A” Coach of the Year guided R-H (18-3) to share of Division I title. Father-to-be: Henrietta resident and wife Angela are expecting first child, a daughter, in February.
