A Wyoming County woman accused of beating her baby is facing felony charges, according to New York State Police.

Ann M. Kozlowski, 25, of Attica was charged over the weekend with second-degree assault, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, troopers said.

Kozlowski is accused of beating and injuring her 2-month-old daughter on or about Oct. 19, troopers said. The child suffered from a fractured right femur and a fracture to her ribs and is recovering at Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, troopers said.

Kozlowski was arraigned in Attica Village Court and was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, troopers said. She is slated to return to court Nov. 2.

The Wyoming County Department of Social Services’ Child Protective Services Unit assisted troopers with the case.
