A Wayne County teen is facing felony charges today in connection with an arson in Palmyra in April, according to New York State Police.

Kenneth B. Larock, 18, of Palmyra was charged yesterday with third-degree arson, a felony, troopers said. He is accused of intentionally setting a storage shed owned by Plassche Lumber on fire on April 24. The shed was located along the railroad tracks, under the State Route 21 bridge in Palmyra, troopers said.

The 100- by 10-foot shed was used to store lumber and other building supplies, troopers said. The fire destroyed the shed and its contents, troopers said.

Larock was arraigned in Palmyra Town Court and was remanded to the Wayne County Jail without bail. The case is scheduled to be heard by a Wayne County grand jury on Nov. 10.

Troopers were assisted in the investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the Wayne County Fire Coordinator’s Office and the Palmyra Fire Department.
