Ontario County lawmakers are scheduled to vote on a 2010 budget tonight that keeps the tax rate at its current level with a 2 percent reduction in county spending.

The budget calls for spending $194.7 million next year, about $4 million less than current levels. Under the proposed budget, the tax rate would remain at $6.24 per $1,000 assessed value, the same as this year.

A house valued at $100,000 could expect to pay a county property tax bill in the range of $624.
