Henrietta man sentenced in child porn case
A Henrietta man was sentenced Friday to 10 years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty in August to one count of possession of child pornography.
Robert Forgione, 56, was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and register as a sex offender, according to U.S. Attorney Kathleen M. Mehltretter.
Officials said Forgione was identified by postal inspectors who were investigating mailings of sexually explicit movies depicting children. During that investigation, law enforcement officials contacted Forgione at his home, and a search of his computer revealed dozens of images of child porn.
The plea agreement called for 37 to 46 months in prison and a fine of $7,500 to $75,000. According to Mehltretter’s office, U.S. District Judge David Larimer imposed the sentence over the government’s objection.
