A Rochester Police car was involved in a two-vehicle crash about 2:50 this morning.

The driver of an eastbound vehicle on Monroe Avenue tried to turn left onto Howell Street in front of a patrol car, but collided with the police car, said Rochester Police Lt. David Gebhardt.

The police officer and the other car’s driver and passenger were all taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. The police officer and the passenger in the other car were not admitted.

The driver of the car was in guarded condition, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening, Gebhardt said.

The names of the officer and the other driver and passenger were not available, Gebhardt said. The investigation is continuing.
