JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Terrell Owens finally had his coming out party for the Buffalo Bills, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a disappointing 18-15 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars today.

Owens caught a team-record 98-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter which gave the Bills a 15-10 lead, but they couldn’t hold on in Perry Fewell’s debut as Buffalo’s head coach.

The Jaguars took possession at their 32 with 6:12 left to play and marched 68 yards to David Garrard’s three-yard TD pass to Mike Sims-Walker with 56 seconds remaining. Garrard then scored on a two-point conversion.

Fewell became the fifth consecutive Bills coach to lose in his Buffalo debut.

Jacksonville opened the scoring on Josh Scobee’s 29-yard field goal after Fitzpatrick’s second pass of the day was picked off by Sean Considine and returned 25 yards to the Bills 28.

Buffalo bounced back with a 72-yard drive that provided an early clue that Owens was in for a big day. He caught a 28-yard pass on a third-and-15 to set up the first of Rian Lindell’s three first-half field goals.

Lindell’s second field goal came less than three minutes later after George Wilson picked off a David Garrard pass that had been tipped by Bruan Scott.
